Is the legacy of our extended sojourn in the Middle East a sharply increased sectarianism in American politics?

because it sure as hell isn't a taste for falafel

Detail oriented at this moment Happy is not.

Maybe it's because I'm in California where we're holding down the fort against the forces of the right, but there's plenty of good falafel here

The coasts are going to end up seceding from Roy Moore land.

...either that or outlawing the Republican Party as a national organization for its aggravated accessory to treason.

If it didn't happen thirty years ago for Iran-contra and the tricks they played with the Iran hostage crisis to make Carter's re-election fail, it's not gonna happen now. The Republican Party going down for treason won't happen short of a civil war or electoral reform that stops the US from being a two half-parties state.

Looks like we got monsters on both sides... The only job posting left on the bulletin board is “Good Guy”....

Tona is the good guy. What she does is OK because she's on America's side. Ignorance is Strength.

Yeah, got to square some circles in the subsequent chapters.

Seems like saying your a reporter doesn't get you out of trouble like it used to...

I just steal from the headlines... Journalists worldwide are getting jailed, beaten, or killed at pretty high rates these days.

He's right about the melt into the surrounding populace part, and he's also right about putting out the eyes of the regime. That said, I think Captain Happy's alignment detector is on the fritz if he's missed so completely that Sam personally and professionally stands against the neofascism of this comic's Trump to the limits of his cowardly ability. What he should be doing is giving Sam minor, true information of propaganda value, then watch for and set up the opportunity to propagandize Sam's treatment when he gets back into the custody of the oppressors. Movements grow on martyrdom of the 'innocent.'

I know you’ve picked up on this, but Happy is in fact being excessively dramatic as next page will show.

Ruin the fun of pretending to be as clueless as the people who pay me, why don't you? *shakes fist*

Sam's got a significantly more ridiculous and dangerous trial coming up in a month or two. Don't worry, he's got to stick around to witness this upcoming battle.

Them eyes... Happy is a little deranged, isn't he?

If the headlines make you pissed off, then think of how outraged you'd be if you'd seen the full scope of the world's injustice. Happy's seen a little too much of what goes on behind the curtain and can't ignore it anymore.

But yeah, when I write Happy he's a little more uh colorful.

Tony does some right things in a strange (and scary) way...
Capt. Happy, he looks like a psycho, but he made many good points about all the mess (and strategy too.). Poor Sam was caught in the crossfire, well, his profession is more of a craft than a job.
