In this case, if you know it's a trap, it might be masochism.

Or it might be martyrdom.

Felicia needs to decide what her endgame is.

(spoiler alert: Prof will probably kill this character.)

Imagine this to be bear trap, Felicia, that you knowingly stepped into, and you have your answer...

Oh man... Tona's really sure of the efficacy of this particular round of psy-ops.

Luckily, Felicia's smart enough to know she's getting mind-effed.

Some people were made to suffer. Also, the Heisenberg principle applies. See next page.

The obvious, tautological, answer to the question is that a trap is a trap even if you can see it coming. The real question is how long it will take for Felicia to find out about the third string actor and what she will do about it. The clusterfuck count of the number of hazards likely to bite Tona that she is playing with keeps going up.

Many pointy political comments on the question of obvious traps continuing to be traps were withheld.

Oh come on, the pointiest political comment these days about "traps" concerns Der Donald's decisions to disallow dem "transgenders" from any military service.

That would be a solid choice for most current. If you don't want to use trap in only that sense however one could make a thesis that there is very little in politics that doesn't involve some kind of trap.

Trump should just get over it. Who cares how much he enjoyed those nights with the tranny hookers? Why does he gotta hate on them in public just to keep people from talking about it?

Collect robot heads

ah, I mean, continue to deliver the unvarnished truth, however weird it may be!

Also, relevant background for making sense of what's going on in politics today, and *cough* other places, like perhaps certain works of fiction.
